Long weekend in Berlin with Georgina. Trip very well organised by Gij – EasyJet flights and AirBnB. A fascinating place to visit and very lively in the evening.

Festival Vielles Mecaniques, Cazals
27th festival in Montclera in the Lot (near Cazals). We used to call them a steam rally in the UK but it’s the same sort of thing. Lots and lots of old machinery and some interesting newer stuff too.
Bastille Day Fireworks 2017
Pont Valentre, Cahors
The same evening as the Blues Festival were the Bastille Day fireworks. A hugely impressive display based on and around the Pont Valentre.
Cahors Blues Festival 2017
The Fabulous Trio
Went into Cahors with Alexander to see some of the Blues Festival. This was another first because although it has been on for many years we have never managed to get over there (it’s only half an hour away).
They have some paid shows but also have some bands playing for free at various points around the city. We came across the Fabulous Trio and they were brilliant. However, they seem to be based in the North of France and most of their gigs are a long way from here.
