In late 2025 I was considering where to go for a spring holiday where I could meet up with Georgina – somewhere that she could fly in from Canada to join me. We discussed a few different options and settled on the Amalfi Coast. It’s a journey of about 1700 km from my home in France which is about a 3 day drive. I decided to allow a week for the trip which allowed time for me to cycle into Rome on the Appian way and to explore the national park around Vesuvius.
